Karslplatz has surprisingly good food for an U-Bahn station -- the fries from Pommes Freundes were delicious fuel for our Christmas shopping, especially with that delicious Andalouse sauce. We then did some real damage downtown.
Passable Chinese food at China Shanghai restaurant by Karlsplatz (total tourist trap) followed by shopping and a trip to the Instituto Cervantes.
My first Glühwein of the season, with Kathleen at Viktualienmarkt. She's right: it just makes you happy. The holidays are good times in Munich.
Poutine at Can-Tine for the second night in a row, this time with Kathleen to see Bon Cop, Bad Cop at the new restaurant's new movie night. (Last night was with Alex and Eric for his birthday.) Next up: Harry Potter and the Worldwide Simultaneous Premiere!
The Shake Shack in Madison Square Park: tasty shake, good garlic sausage, great place to sit on a nice morning waiting for a store to open.
My 340 calorie pumpkin doughnut from Dunkin Donuts. Sugary. Because the Burlington Coat Factory wasn't open yet, we went on a wander.
Aditi and I had dinner at Mesa, Bobby Flay's restaurant. It had Bern a long and filling day but we still enjoyed the food -- a delicious queso fundido followed by a very good tuna steak paired with a too-tall glass of Chardonnay. Tired but sated, we moved on.
Added Tony to the group and had a beer at an Irish bar near Times Square after some wandering. Pig and Whistle -- tasty.
Cupcakes at Crumbs with Aditi, Colin, and Liz. Tasty, lots of frosting. Then a wander to the bright lights of Times Square.
